Orthros Service to Saint Andrew and Saint Nicholas - 11/30/14

A commemoration of the Holy Apostle Andrew "the First-Called" and Saint Nicholas "the Wonderworker" was celebrated at Saints Peter & Paul Orthodox Church in Bayonne NJ on Sunday evening, 30 November 2014. The New Jersey District of the Fellowship of Orthodox Christians in America (FOCA) gathers at this time each year in remembrance of the organization’s patron, Saint Andrew. Fellowship followed in the church hall where His Grace, Bishop Michael, gave an inspirational talk about saints and their importance in our spiritual lives.

Daria Miskiv (FOCA, NJ District Governor) welcomed everyone and thanked those in attendance for generously supporting the scholarship fund collection.

Faithful members of FOCA and friends attending the annual service, along with Bishop Michael, were joined in celebration by: Archpriest Sophrony Royer (parish rector);  Archpriest Joseph Lickwar (Diocesan Chancellor, Rector of Saints Peter & Paul Church, Jersey City NJ); and Archpriest John Fencik (Rector, Saint Mary’s Carpatho-Russian Church, Bayonne NJ).
